Influence and power go hand in hand. Once you got people’s attention, there’s a lot people who will come to scratch your back. There’s thousands of examples on the Web with bloggers starting their own site with an Adsense business model. Some of them are so successful they end up working in a narrow relationship with politicians (LeMeur/Sarkozy). Once you cross that line, what is left of your integrity as a writer ?

With those certain blogs of yours I have noticed how it’s a bit disjointed. Every post does kind of stand on its own and I think that’s ok depending on what your goals are. If you goal is to make money, I think you’re ok. If you want to build a community and have a good interaction between your readers, I don’t think this is really gonna work.

the “Home, sweet home” award :

When you can’t be home with your family, sometimes pictures are the next best thing. Personally, I don’t get home to see my family all that often (once a year if I’m lucky), so whenever I get some photos from back home, it always makes me smile.

So with no further ado, here are some shots my dad sent me yesterday. They’re of the flowers he planted in our front yard in Pennsylvania where I grew up – where I spent the first 18 years of my life before I left to attend university down here in Florida.
