I will assume you are at the beginning of the “times”.

You just think to start making money or maybe allready start but find out is “not working” …

Well, prior to all, you must set-up few things, in order to have later a success.

FIRST you must “set-up” yourself. Build or rebuild yourself.
SECOND you must know exactly what do you want – and what do you want must be a realistic goal, as well as target and as .. duration.
THIRD you must know what “prime materials” you’ll need and start grab those.
FOURTH you must estabilish a step-by-step planning.

and

FIVE -> ACTION !!! GO FOR IT !!! DO IT !!!

Talking about the “FIRST” step, here’s few tips, just to get an idea:

 - Making money online is NOT a become-rich-quick scheme. You don’t just join a marketing system and start collecting money falling from sky.

 - You must be ready to invest big time into your education. Depends on your aptitudes / skills, but nothing grows overnight.

 - You must be ready for trial and error. You must be ready to accept failures and mistakes. Learn from them and keep going!

 - You must be prepared to put up with negative people. Many peoples out there do not believe is possible to make money online. Some may even not belive in you … When you put your plans into action, you will face resistance from your beer-drinking buddies, your family members or .. even your BOSS!

 - Once you start, you must go all the way. An internet business is just like any other business in the “offline” world: if you are not ready to go all the way and give up halfway because of a half-hearted attitude .. sorry, but you are asking for a failure.
 
Why did I said “buid and rebuild” yourself ?

Becouse, when is about to set-up yourself for a challenge, a new challenge, then more or less of your regular everyday habits are more or less harmfull.
Creating a business, no matter how small or big, require from you to have – before anything else – trust in yourself.

Then to have a permanent optimistic atitude and positive way to handle things.

Also you must WANT to be accordingly to new requirements and ready to change whatever is not fit in your up to the moment life-style.

ONLY after you successfuly set-up yourself and you are a smiling-optimist “ready to accumulate knowledge” sponge, then and only then you may go to next step : estabilish your short-time and long-time goals.
 
After all, at the end of the day, all is only about how badly do you want the success.
