Dave J. :
It is my belief that the Internet is one of the last remaining outlets through which we are able to exercise our natural born right to freedom of speech. The medium is unrivaled as a means of facilitating global communication, and threatens to shed light into the fiercely protected, darker corners of the world economic and political powers.
Additionally, the Internet provides unprecedented levels of “free” education to any literate individual capable of accessing online learning centers. Any ordinance, legislation, or law that seeks to limit or regulate the Internet is aimed primarily at two targets. The control, and gradual removal of your freedom of speech, and the suppression of your ability to educate yourself.
The time has come for us to take action in protecting what is arguably the most valuable, collectively managed resource of the information age.
