Hey, have you ever accept or propose a blind date ?

Is kinda hard to be real blind date lately, watching the fast internet developing .. most of people if not all will proe ask (and receive) a pic in email, in a “my home page” or however else ..

Not quite so long a go (I managed to be alive those times), there were no internet, dating sites and other crap. But were parts of pages in certain newspappers and even in certain magazines. And many times peoples willing to meet others didn`t push out a pic. And first contact was to be on phone or, more often, by mail letters.

Well, blind date I mean meeting with a totaly stranger, not that sort of “blind date” made-up by commune friends which arranged all but refuse to tell to both persons who they are gonna meet.
Also, I`m not talking about one-night-stand encounters.

Just go to meet someone you`ll have to recognize by clothing or whatever other sign .. meet him/her without a clear purpose, just for the sake of having a new friend and see what would come out of this.

Have you ?

I`m asking you because I have the feeling - looking behind at personal and others`s experience - that ALLWAYS you have estabilish the meeting with one person but meet somebody else, wrong person I mean. Do anybody know a relevant number of situations when blind dates had as result a long term relation - friendship at least ?

I don`t.

And I wonder why would one, dissapointed more than twice by results, why this one would still want to “perform” blind dates ?
